2 Gallon Ovoid C Hermann Jug

Early Hermann Ovid jugs were usually decorated. Unlike Maxfield pieces the decoration on them varied considerably from piece to piece, but decorations tend to be fairly simple. This one has a blotchy glaze like many of the early Hermann stoneware. The stamp reads C. HERMANN & CO. MILWAUKEE.
