3 Gallon C Hermann Decorated Jug

Ovid jug with an interesting triple flower. Like many of the Hermann jugs the decoration is simplistic and has some quality issues where some of the cobalt is missing. Still, this is an outstanding piece of early Wisconsin stoneware. The stamp reads C. HERMANN & CO. MILWAUKEE. It sold in the 1996 Jeff Skou auction, lot 112.
