J.B. & A. Maxfield, Milwaukee, WI 3 Gallon Ovoid Jug Albany Slip Markings

Here is J.B.&A. Maxfield 3 gallon ovoid jug with an odd feature the gallonage and markings were done with the Albany Slip used to glaze the inside of the vessel.  These pieces are very rare to find decorated in this manner.  From the Jon Steiner Collection.
