Whitewater Cream Pot 6 Gallon

Decorated earthenware cream pot from one of the potters in Whitewater, Wisconsin. This is a very rare large size cream pot. Large Whitewater pieces tended to break because they are so fragile, and large cream pots like this were probably not made in large numbers to begin with. The pot has a brilliant orange glaze and a somewhat primitive decoration, it it is a great piece! It is not signed. It sold in the 1996 Jeff Skou auction, lot 271.
