Schwartz, F. Milwaukee

This is a great looking antique bottle from Milwaukee Wisconsin stamped "F. SCHWARTZ MILWAUKEE" in an oval with a cobalt blue wash added to the stamp to highlight the name. This bottles was also made without the blue in the stamp. This one is much harder to find. The color variation in the glaze appears to be original. This bottle was made from a different clay than many, which were probably made from Ohio clay at one of the large producers like Charles Hermann in Milwaukee. The clay has lots of impurities and particles. There are several other bottles made from similar clay but we don't know who made them.
